What a Delta gift card gets you
The card applies to the base fare, taxes, and carrier-imposed charges on any Delta-marketed flight, and to Delta Vacations packages — not just domestic economy. You can apply it toward part of a ticket and pay the rest with a card. It does not cover SkyMiles award-ticket taxes paid at booking, third-party codeshare segments ticketed by another airline, or onboard Wi-Fi and food purchases. No activation or dormancy fees apply.
two formats:
- E-gift card: Emailed within minutes, redeemable at delta.com checkout. $50 to $1,000 via delta.com; $50 to $200 via Dyme.
- Physical card: Mailed for delivery; usable by entering the card number at delta.com checkout. $50 to $1,000 via delta.com.
You can apply multiple Delta gift cards to one booking — enter each card number at checkout up to Delta's per-transaction limit, then cover any remainder with a credit card.

Can I get a Delta gift card at a discount?
Sometimes, but not through Dyme. Dyme sells Delta gift cards at face value; the value-add is Dyme Miles and instant delivery. Delta itself almost never discounts its own gift cards, so the discount channels are external and intermittent:
- Warehouse clubs (Costco, Sam's Club). On rare occasions Costco or Sam's runs a below-face Delta gift-card promotion, usually as a digital multi-pack. Supply is limited and rotates. Membership required.
- Grocery gift-card promotions. Supermarket chains periodically run "spend on gift cards, earn bonus fuel points" events. You pay face value but bank grocery loyalty points and fuel discounts on the purchase.
- Secondary marketplaces (Raise, CardCash). Resold Delta cards occasionally list slightly below face. Airline cards move fast and inventory is thin; verify the balance before redeeming.
The reliable return is the rewards stack below: your credit card on the purchase, SkyMiles on the flight at redemption, and Dyme Miles on the purchase.
How to stack rewards
Three rewards programs fire on a single Delta gift card purchase through Dyme.
Your credit card earns rewards on the Dyme purchase.
Gift-card resellers typically code as MCC 5947; many cards exclude this MCC from category bonuses.
Free to join. Earns at redemption, not on the gift card purchase.
SkyMiles does not earn on the gift card purchase itself. You earn SkyMiles on the flight when you book it, the same as paying with a credit card. A SkyMiles number on the booking is what triggers the earn. Program terms →
Earn 1 Mile for every dollar you spend, and 5 Miles per dollarduring special offers — the layer the other channels can't match.
Illustrative only. Card rates, brand-program terms, and Dyme Miles offers change and vary by member; figures above are examples, not a guarantee of value.

How to buy on delta.com
- Go to delta.com/gift-cards.
- Choose e-gift or physical, then pick the amount from $50 to $1,000.
- Check out. At flight booking, enter the gift-card number on the payment screen. SkyMiles does not accrue on the gift-card purchase — it accrues on the flight.
How to buy at Costco, Sam's Club, or a supermarket
Supermarket and drugstore gift-card racks at Kroger, Safeway, and CVS periodically carry Delta cards, sometimes paired with bonus-fuel-points promotions. Costco and Sam's Club occasionally run a below-face Delta multi-pack. You earn the retailer's loyalty points and any fuel rewards on the purchase; the airline discount itself is intermittent.
Designs and personalization
E-gift cards: standard Delta-branded art with a customizable recipient message and subject line.
Physical cards: a small set of Delta designs, mailed in a gift sleeve with an optional printed message.
There's no co-branded or custom-art option for individual buyers. For bulk and employee programs, see corporate ordering below.
