Marriott gift cards apply toward stays, dining, spa, and golf across more than 30 brands — from Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis to Courtyard and Residence Inn. The card never expires and has no blackout dates. The ways to buy differ on speed, denomination caps, and what you earn back. Here is how each works.

What a Marriott gift card gets you

A Marriott gift card is not just a room-rate credit — it settles the whole folio at most properties, so it covers restaurant and bar tabs, spa treatments, golf, and resort fees charged to the room. The same card works across the full brand range, from Ritz-Carlton and St. Regis down to Courtyard and Fairfield. There are no activation or per-use fees, and the balance is never cut by dormancy charges.

two formats:

  • Physical card: Mailed in a gift sleeve. $25 to $1,000 per card via the Marriott gift-card site.
  • E-gift card: Emailed within minutes, redeemed at booking or checkout. $25 to $2,000 via Marriott; $25 to $200 via Dyme.

Multiple Marriott gift cards can be applied to one stay; the front desk or booking flow combines them. There is no published cap on how many you redeem against a single folio.

Can I get a Marriott gift card at a discount?

Yes, but not through Dyme. Dyme sells Marriott e-gift cards at face value; the value-add is Dyme Miles and paperless delivery. The discount channels are:

  • Costco or Sam's Club. Marriott multi-packs (for example a $500 value for around $450) appear regularly at warehouse clubs. This is the most reliable face-value discount. Physical only, membership required.
  • Secondary marketplaces (Raise, CardCash). Resold Marriott cards usually list a few percent below face. Verify the balance before redeeming, since secondary listings occasionally carry partial balances.
  • Marriott and Bonvoy promotions. Marriott periodically runs bonus-value gift-card sales (e.g. a $50 bonus card with a larger purchase). The bonus is a separate card, not a markdown on the original.

The added return comes from the rewards stack below: your credit card, Bonvoy points on the eligible folio at redemption, and Dyme Miles on the purchase.

How to stack rewards

Three rewards programs fire on a single Marriott gift card purchase through Dyme.

How to buy in store

Most Marriott properties can sell you a physical gift card at the front desk. Denominations and availability vary by hotel, so call ahead if you need a specific amount. This is also the route if you want to collect the card in person before gifting.

How to buy at Costco, Sam's Club, or a supermarket

Costco and Sam's Club regularly stock discounted Marriott multi-packs — often the best face-value deal available. Supermarket gift-card racks at Kroger, Safeway, and Albertsons carry $50 and $100 Marriott cards at face value; you pay no discount but earn the store's loyalty points and any fuel rewards on gift-card spend.

Designs and personalization

Physical cards: several Marriott designs in the online catalog, including seasonal and travel-themed art. A gift sleeve and a printed message are available at checkout.

E-gift cards: multiple designs with a customizable subject line and recipient message.
