What an Uber gift card gets you
One Uber gift card funds two services from a single balance: Uber rides and Uber Eats food delivery. The app applies the balance automatically before charging your default payment method, so you don't pick it each trip. The catch most buyers miss — Uber gift cards are country-locked, so a US card won't redeem on an account set to another country, and the balance can't be transferred to cash or another account.
two formats:
- E-gift card: Emailed within minutes, redeemed by entering the code under Wallet in the Uber app. $15 to $500 per card via uber.com; $25 to $200 via Dyme.
- Physical card: Sold on retail gift-card racks. Load value printed on the card; redeem the code in-app the same way as an e-gift.
You can load multiple gift cards to one Uber account; the balances pool together and the app draws down the total before billing your card on file.

Can I get a Uber gift card at a discount?
Yes, but not through Dyme. Dyme sells Uber e-gift cards at face value; the value-add is Dyme Miles and instant delivery, not a face-value discount. The discount channels are:
- Drugstore and grocery promos. CVS, Walgreens, and supermarket gift-card racks periodically bundle Uber cards with a bonus card or a few dollars off. Physical only, in store, while supplies last.
- Secondary marketplaces (Raise, CardCash). Resold Uber cards from third parties, usually a few percent below face value. Verify the balance and confirm the card isn't country-locked to a region you can't use.
- Uber promo credit (not the gift card). Uber issues ride and Eats promo credits through the app and partner offers. These are separate from gift cards and apply only to the account that receives them.
The bigger combined return comes from the rewards stack below: your credit card, Uber One on the rides you take, and Dyme Miles on the purchase. Most buyers leave that money on the table.
How to stack rewards
Three rewards programs fire on a single Uber gift card purchase through Dyme.
Your credit card earns rewards on the Dyme purchase.
Gift-card resellers typically code as MCC 5947; many cards exclude this MCC from category bonuses.
Free to join. Earns at redemption, not on the gift card purchase.
Uber One does not earn on the gift card purchase. It returns Uber Cash and waives fees on the rides and Eats orders you pay for with the balance. Program terms →
Earn 1 Mile for every dollar you spend, and 5 Miles per dollarduring special offers — the layer the other channels can't match.
Illustrative only. Card rates, brand-program terms, and Dyme Miles offers change and vary by member; figures above are examples, not a guarantee of value.

How to buy on uber.com
- Go to uber.com/gift and choose an e-gift card.
- Pick the amount ($15 to $500), enter the recipient's email, and add an optional message.
- Check out. Uber does not run a member discount on gift cards. The recipient adds the code under Wallet in the app.
How to buy in store
Uber doesn't operate retail stores, so there's no first-party counter to buy from. The in-person path is a physical Uber card on a gift-card rack at Target, CVS, Walgreens, or a grocery chain. Pick the load amount, pay at the register, and the recipient redeems the printed code in the Uber app.
How to buy at Costco, Sam's Club, or a supermarket
Physical Uber cards hang on the third-party gift-card racks at Target, CVS, Walgreens, Kroger, Safeway, and similar chains in $25, $50, and $100 loads. They sell at face value most of the time, with occasional bundle promos. You earn the retailer's loyalty points and any fuel rewards that apply to gift-card purchases.
Designs and personalization
E-gift cards: a small set of Uber-branded designs with a customizable message, suited to birthdays, thank-yous, and last-minute gifts.
Physical cards: standard Uber card art on retail racks, sometimes in a folding gift carrier sold separately.
There is no co-branded or custom design for individual purchase. For bulk and branded orders, see corporate ordering below.
Delivery and timing
- E-gift via Dyme: 1 to 60 minutes by email. Redeem the code under Wallet in the Uber app.
- E-gift via uber.com: 1 to 60 minutes by email, or schedule for a future date.
- Physical at a retailer: Immediate — walk out with the card and redeem the code in-app.
Dyme does not mail physical cards. If you need a card in hand, a retail gift-card rack is the path.
Corporate and bulk buying
Uber for Business runs a vouchers and gift-card program for companies that want to cover employee or customer rides and meals at scale, with custom amounts, bulk distribution, and centralized billing. Contact Uber for Business to set up vouchers or bulk gift cards.
