What a Walmart gift card gets you
The same balance reaches past the store shelves: it pays at Walmart Gas stations, on Walmart.com including most Marketplace orders, and toward a Walmart+ membership, not only in-aisle merchandise. There are no activation or per-purchase fees and no expiration. E-gift cards arrive by email for online checkout; physical cards work at any register. The card can't buy another gift card or certain restricted items like alcohol or tobacco where prohibited.
two formats:
- Physical card: Bought at any Walmart register or mailed. $25 to $500 per card via walmart.com.
- E-gift card: Emailed within minutes, redeemable at Walmart.com or by entering the number in store. $5 to $1,000 via walmart.com; $25 to $200 via Dyme.
You can apply multiple Walmart gift cards to a single order online or in store; the balances draw down in sequence before your card on file is charged.

Can I get a Walmart gift card at a discount?
Yes, but not through Dyme. Dyme sells Walmart e-gift cards at face value; the value-add is Dyme Miles and paperless delivery, not a face-value discount. The discount channels are:
- Supermarket fuel-points promos. Grocery chains like Kroger periodically run multiplied fuel-points events on third-party gift cards, an indirect saving on Walmart cards bought at the rack. The card itself stays at face value.
- Secondary marketplaces (Raise, CardCash). Resold Walmart cards from third parties, typically a couple of percent below face value. Walmart cards trade close to face because of high demand. Verify the balance before redeeming.
- Walmart rollbacks and promo events. Walmart's rollbacks and seasonal events lower merchandise prices, stacking with a gift-card payment — though promo pricing applies to products, not the gift-card SKU itself.
The bigger combined return comes from the rewards stack below: your credit card, Walmart Rewards on what you buy, and Dyme Miles on the purchase. Most buyers leave that money on the table.
How to stack rewards
Three rewards programs fire on a single Walmart gift card purchase through Dyme.
Your credit card earns rewards on the Dyme purchase.
Gift-card resellers typically code as MCC 5947; many cards exclude this MCC from category bonuses.
Free to join. Earns at redemption, not on the gift card purchase.
Walmart Rewards does not earn on the gift card purchase. It earns on the merchandise when you redeem, the same as paying with cash or credit. Program terms →
Earn 1 Mile for every dollar you spend, and 5 Miles per dollarduring special offers — the layer the other channels can't match.
Illustrative only. Card rates, brand-program terms, and Dyme Miles offers change and vary by member; figures above are examples, not a guarantee of value.

How to buy on walmart.com
- Go to walmart.com/cp/gift-cards.
- Choose physical or e-gift, pick a design and the amount.
- Check out. Walmart doesn't discount its own gift cards, and Walmart Rewards don't accrue on gift-card purchases.
How to buy in store
Any Walmart register sells gift cards, including Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets. Name the amount, pay with cash, card, or another payment method, and walk out with it. Loads run $25 to $500, redeemable at any Walmart, Walmart Gas, and on Walmart.com.
How to buy at Costco, Sam's Club, or a supermarket
Supermarket and drugstore gift-card racks at Kroger, Safeway, Albertsons, and similar chains carry $25, $50, and $100 Walmart cards at face value. (Warehouse clubs like Costco and Sam's Club generally don't stock Walmart cards.) You pay no discount but earn the retailer's loyalty points and any fuel rewards on gift-card purchases.
Designs and personalization
Physical cards: a large catalog of designs on walmart.com, including seasonal, birthday, and occasion art, with a sleeve and printed message available.
E-gift cards: multiple designs with a customizable subject line and recipient message.
There's no co-branded design for individual purchase. For bulk orders, see corporate ordering below.
Delivery and timing

- E-gift via walmart.com: 1 to 60 minutes by email.
- Physical via walmart.com: 5 to 10 business days standard.
